Pine Tree PACE Campus participated in SAY Something Week, October 16 - 20. Say Something Week raises awareness and educates students and the community through training, media events, advertising, public proclamations, contests and school awards. Sandy Hook Promise promotes Say Something Week as it reinforces the power young people have to prevent tragedies and Say Something to a trusted adult to protect a friend from hurting  self or others.

The PACE SAVE Promise Club  joined with community partners: Coalition for Drug Free Youth, Special
Health Resources of East Texas, Longview Teen Court, Byron Wilcott of Main Event Wrestling, and the Honorable Judge Tim Bryan, to encourage our students to speak up and learn to be aware of themselves, others, and their environment in order to create a healthier and safer community for all.

Students “made the Promise” ; “to do all I can to protect children from gun violence by encouraging and supporting solutions that create safer, healthier homes, schools and communities."  They then practiced their promise by participating in talking circles, mentoring students at the Primary campus, and pledging to #SaySomething!
